The Scheme Trustees

Westerby Crest Westerby Trustee Services Ltd was established in 1996 and is a member of the Association of Member-Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS). As part of the Westerby Group, our administration system and procedures are regularly reviewed with the intention of improving efficiency and ensuring cost effective services are provided to our clients.

"Quote from WTSL" We believe that to ensure impartiality the company should not be authorised to provide financial advice.

Westerby Trustee Services Ltd (2004 - today)

were appointed Trustees of The Clarion Group Retirement and Dependants Benefits Scheme on 16th February 2004. Mr L J McLintic represents Westerby today.

It is unclear why Westerby are now referring members to Alexander Forbes for information. No explanation for this change or the need for a Trustee and a Trustee Advisor company has been given to members.

They had not offered any statement of the accounts between 2001 & 2004 or 2004 & 2007, when these periods were apparently still not included in the scheme statement which was made available in early 2009.

They take the view that they represent members opinion without consultation and have refused to hold a 'Question & Answer' meeting for the membership on the basis of it's COST and DELAY. There isn't any members representation in the scheme as they refuse to allow or elect member representatives.

Fees have been paid to Westerby Trustees Services Ltd (£28,000) & commission (£32,000) to Westerby Investment Management Services, one of the scheme's Independent Financial Advisors. The trustee's response to engaging a sister company, was to seek a "recommendation" for a Fund Management company. No response was given when questioned if the £32,000 commission covered any further tasks than a simple recommendation.
